Ian Wright has been singing since he joined his church choir at the age of four, and has sung with many choirs such as St David's Cathedral Choir, Jesus College (Oxford) choir, and in Cumbria with the Wordsworth Singers and Nova Cantica. He has also appeared on many occasions as a tenor soloist. Ian studied violin and read music at the City University, and then at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He led the university orchestra and has played in quartets. His degree course included conducting, which he is now putting into practice with Wigton Choral Society. Ian is returning to music as his career after some years in the ministry with the Church of England. He has also taken up a post as the administrator for the Carlilse International Summer Festival.
