Come and Sing Flyer

Fifty enthusiastic singers of all ages enjoyed exploring A Season to Sing – a choral re-imagining of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons by Joanne Forbes L’Estrange. Under the encouraging and skilful conducting of our Music Director, Ian Wright, and with the expert accompaniment of Amanda Wright the joyful sounds of communal singing echoed around Wigton Methodist Church. During the well-deserved break everyone enjoyed the array of home-made cakes and meeting or catching up with their fellow singers. At the end of the day the choir enjoyed a sing-through of the whole piece with memorable highlights being the body percussion representation of rain and the soprano and alto semi-chorus section.

We are planning another ‘Come and Sing” next Autumn, of Ian Wright’s unique setting of The Vampyre by local poet John Stagg. Watch this space…!
